About
I’m Amanda, the founder of Good Leaven Co. and a stay-at-home mom. My baking journey started when I was young, but it wasn’t until 2019 that I dove into making bread. I began with yeast-based recipes, but I was captivated by videos of people making sourdough. The process was full of ups and downs, with conflicting information and many failures along the way. I spent a lot of time and money on sourdough classes and subscriptions, absorbing as much as I could, and eventually figured out how to simplify the process.
As I shared my newfound knowledge with friends and family, I realized that with clear instructions and the right recipes, anyone could master sourdough baking without the stress.
In 2024, I launched my first product: my all-in-one bread-making kit, which includes an eBook I personally created. The eBook is packed with answers to the most frequently asked questions and troubleshooting tips for common issues, along with my favorite tips and tricks to make your baking experience as smooth as possible. It also includes a variety of recipes, from traditional sourdough bread to pancakes, pretzels, and more, to help you fall in love with sourdough in all its forms.
In 2025, I’ve expanded with a new silicone baking mat I designed myself, a growing Instagram community, and plans to add even more products to support beginner bakers and those advancing their skills.
I’m passionate about connecting with fellow bakers, especially those who are just starting out or looking to improve their skills.
